Project Proposal
For my project I am going to use the medium of pencil. I am going to do a sketch of a waterfall with a lot of rock on the sides and in the background. With this I am going to have to focus on somewhat more of the negative space in the waterfall. The water falling down is going to bold white, so I will be sketching around the water instead of the water itself.
Andy Warhol Seminar Reflection:
During the siminar I really connected to Brad's comment on how he is the opposite of Andy Warhol. Andy Warhol considers his art as being boring. He talks about how the more bored he gets the more inspired he gets with his artwork. Brad is the opposite, because he does not like to be bored. Brad finds inspiration through exploring.
The seminar changed my way of thinking in a way. The first time I read the paper I didn't really know what to think or really what it was even talking about. Through the seminar it showed me that there was more to it than I originally thought. It made me think more about after Shawntell's comment that where we live, we take it for granted and never really realize the art that is all around us. I have always thought of where we lived as beautiful, but I have never really thought of considering it art.
My strongest connection would be from Shawntell's comment. It really made me think of how much granted I personally take where we live.
I would have to say that my strongest aspect in this seminar was listening. I almost can remember something that each person in the seminar said.

Project Proposal:
For my first project of Junior year, I did an aviation sketch using pencil. I felt safer using pencil, because I knew that if I messed something up or drew something unproportional, I could easily fix it. For my second project I pushed myself forward a little bit more and used pens for my drawing. Using pen was a little harder, because if I drew something wrong or unproportional, I would have to incorpurate the mistake into the drawing. This made me able to keep working on it, instead of restarting.
For my next project I am going to be using a picture of an old wooden red door with a beat up wall. I am going try to push myself forward a little more through this project. Instead of using only pen and ink for my drawing, I am going to be using watercolor along with it. I have never used watercolor before, so we will see how it turns out.

Projects:
Pen/Ink
Pen/Ink
This was my second project for Digital Arts and my first time using only pen. I used a pen and ink technique that I saw in a picture of an old car in a junk yard that was on the internet. The photo that I sketched from was a photo taken of an old truck in the Silverton area.
Pencil
This was my first project in Digital Arts. It is a replica of "Tiger Squadron". I used drawing pencils on paper.
